Video Style: Diamond
What kind of videos is Diamond best for?
Diamond is a dazzling design that will give your photos and videos a vintage look thanks to its animated shapes. With Diamond it’s all about the shining and sparkling experience of watching your photos of your last vacation trip come to life. It’s the perfect style for landscape, flower or nature photos. With subtle design and dynamic movement you will see your medias in a completely new light.
What can I do in Diamond that I can't do in other video styles?
In Diamond you have a special Zoom & Pan option when you double-click on an image: by default it is set on "automatic" but you can choose a key point if needed. This lets you set manually the key part of your photo, to make sure it won’t be cropped out of your video. Once you’ve set the important point in your photo, it will be shown in your video with a gentle pan and zoom effect (aka Kenburns) centered around that key point.
This option is available for the following styles: Tiles, Martini, Comics, Snowflakes, 1901 and Humble.
Why does my video look different when I make multiple previews?
The Diamond video style has lots of effects. There are a total of 140 combinations of effects, so you can’t ever get bored of this style! If you make changes to your timeline, the effects will be changed if you start a new preview.
How can I add text to my video? How long can it be?
There are two ways you can add text to a Diamond video: Title Slides that show text on its own, or Captions to show text on top of photos.
To add a Title Slide, click on the big red plus button and choose Add Title Slide.
Title Slides show 6 lines of text, up to 80 characters long. The background of a Title slide is one of your photo with a strong blur effect.
To add a Caption on top of a photo, video or map: open the menu for that item and selectAdd Text Overlay.
Captions will show 6 line of text, with up to 80 characters.
