The easiest way to create a reverse video effect

Reverse Video is a heavily requested feature in the windows movie maker community and beyond. There are many tutorials on “how to create a reverse video effect“, but all of them require you to download additional software (eg. Virtual Dub which only with .avi files) or run through many manual steps in which you have to extract all frames from a video and then put them back together in reverse. Doesn’t sound like a lot of fun to me…

The only other option you have is to use professional video editing software such as  Adobe Premiere or Final Cut Pro, which both cost some serious bucks. So unless you are on a Mac (iMovie lets you play movies backwards for free, see this how-to video for details) you are pretty much out of luck. But to give this blog post a purpose, I have some good news for you:

Stupeflix lets you create reverse videos with a single click. No manual steps, no additional software needed.

Here’s how it works:

  1. Upload your video in Stupeflix
  2. Select "Edit" in the menu over your video
  3. Click "Reverse video"

That's it! Does it get any easier than that? I didn’t think so!
